Stephen Sampson

Before I came to YouthBuild Boston, I was looking to find my next step in life. I enjoy working with my hands and I had a feeling that the program would be perfect for me. An important woman in my life encouraged me to apply to the program. Since coming to YBB, I’ve met the governor and state representatives to advocate for myself, YBB, and my community. I met the Massachusetts president of Bank of America, and made a speech at a volunteer event. I would like to own my own company some day, and I will be using my construction and life skills I am learning at YouthBuild Boston. One of the great things about having construction skills is that you can make yourself successful, but also make a noticeable impact in your community, and help out someone else.
