Q: What brought you to YouthBuild Boston?
A: I needed a high school diploma and I wanted to join the training site. I wanted more experience to build a career, before I join the Union. Right now I’m between the Laborers Union and the Carpenters Union. Although, I want to expand into building my own business.

A brief update on the goings-on at YouthBuild Boston this past spring and early summer.
YBB partners with Living Escapes Design, Inc. and the Boston Parks Department to provide student training in green infrastructure.
On Thursday, May 18, YouthBuild Boston (YBB) partnered with Starbucks to provide a day of service to the Lower Roxbury and South End neighborhoods.
On Thursday, May 11, YouthBuild Boston (YBB) hosted the OSHA National Safety Stand Down Day on 31 Woodville Street in Roxbury, a two family, energy efficient house being built by YBB students
On Saturday, April 29, thirty volunteers from YouthBuild Boston (YBB), Caritas Communities, and the Harvard Business School Association of Boston (HBSAB) came together to transform the 2600 square foot outdoor area of the twelve person house, owned by Caritas, on 179 Sydney Street in Dorchester.
