Knowledge is the key

For a multitude of reasons, an increasing number of Boston teens are not finishing high school. Yet the basic skills and knowledge of a high school education are essential to move ahead in today's society, and most living-wage jobs are unobtainable without a high school diploma or GED certificate. YouthBuild Boston (YBB) provides a second chance for young people who have not completed high school. These students alternate time in the classroom and on a worksite, to develop both technical skill and academic knowledge. YBB's full-time educators support young people of varying learning abilities.

Additionally, all YBB students have the option to work with GED instructors to build skill areas such as construction math and reading.
